VIDEO SURVEILLANCE: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

👁️ Who is the data controller for video surveillance?
The company S.E.A.R. Sr.L., with registered office in Forte dei Marmi (LU), Viale Morin No. 169, PEC: sear-sas@pec.it, represented by its legal representative pro tempore, processes your personal data in connection with the installation of a video surveillance system at the organizational units of our company, pursuant to art. 4 of Law No. 300 of 20th May 1970 (Workers’ Statute), EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), and the provisions of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended).
Organizational unis covered:
- Augustus Hotel & Resort, Viale Morin no. 169 – Forte dei Marmi (LU)
- Augustus Hotel & Lido, Viale Morin no. 72 – Forte dei Marmi (LU)
- Ristorante Bambaissa, Viale della Repubblica no. 3 — Forte dei Marmi (LU)
- Hermitage Hotel & Resort, Via Cesare Battisti no. 50 — Forte dei Marmi (LU)
- Administrative offices, S. 439 – Pietrasanta (LU)
📹 WHAT WE RECORD
We collect your image when you enter the field of view of our cameras.
Cameras record only work areas and related zones, avoiding areas reserved exclusively for employees (such as locker rooms and restrooms).
Wherever possible, the system is configured not to continuously monitor workstations.
⚖️ WHY WE DO IT
We use video surveillance to:
- Protect company property (our legitimate interest — art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f of GDPR)
Important: Cameras are NOT installed for the purpose of monitoring employees’ work and comply with art. 4 of the Workers’ Stature (law 300/1970).
👥 WHO CAN SEE THE FOOTAGE
- Authorized staff: only employees specifically trained on privacy matters
- Law enforcement authorities: in case of legal necessity
- Maintenance company: AB Telematica, with registered office in 56025 Pontedera (PI) at Via Campania No. 8/10 handles technical maintenance as an external data processor (always in the presence of our employee)
The images are not disseminated or communicated to other parties.
🕐 HOW LOGN WE KEEP THE FOOTAGE
Images are stored for 48 hours from the time of recording and are then automatically deleted.
Exceptions:
- During public holidays or office closures
- Upon request from judicial or police authorities
🌍 DATA TRANSFERS
Footage is not transferred outside the European Union.
✅ DATA PROTECION IMPACT ASSESSMENT
We have carried out a Data Protection Impact Assessment as required by art. 35 of the GDPR.
✓ YOUR RIGHTS
You can always exercise the following rights:
